To turn innovation into real-world healthcare impact, the Test and Innovation Environment for Medical Technology in Skåne provides a structured gateway for companies to develop, validate, and test healthcare innovations in collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and innovation experts.

Led by Innovation Skåne, the initiative brings together key stakeholders from healthcare, patient organizations, research environments, and innovation support organizations to create a sustainable infrastructure for healthcare innovation. Together, we help companies evaluate, refine, and prepare solutions for implementation in healthcare settings.

Our mission is to strengthen innovation capacity within healthcare while contributing to sustainable growth and improved patient outcomes. By facilitating testing and validation in real-world healthcare environments, we help ensure that innovations address genuine clinical needs, create value for healthcare professionals, and ultimately improve patient care.

The testbed provides companies with access to clinical expertise, healthcare environments, user involvement, and a trusted network of partners that support the innovation journey from idea validation to evidence generation and implementation readiness.

Our Vision

We aim to strengthen collaboration between healthcare and industry, accelerate innovation through structured testing, and contribute to a stronger medical technology ecosystem in Southern Sweden.

In parallel, the project maps regional AI and innovation ecosystems across Skåne-Blekinge to identify complementary capabilities and strengthen support for healthcare innovators.

Ultimately, we work to create better healthcare solutions that benefit patients, healthcare professionals, and society.
