Privacy Policy for Nordic Proof
This privacy policy explains how and why Nordic Proof collects, uses, and processes your personal data.
What Personal Data We Process – and Why
We only process personal data that is necessary to communicate with companies, partners, and stakeholders, and handle test inquiries. This may include:
- Name, email address, and place of work (for newsletters and general information)
- Phone number (for contact persons at member organizations)
- Information from event registrations
- Information about your company and test needs from submitted inquiry forms
Personal data is used for purposes such as sending newsletters, event invitations, handling inquiries and other relevant information from Nordic Proof.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Norwegian legislation and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data controller is Nordic Proof, represented by project manager and network coordinator.
Sharing of Personal Data
Personal data is only shared with third parties when necessary and appropriate, for example:
- Public support agencies for statistics and analysis
- Recognized research institutions for research purposes
- Analytics companies working on behalf of Nordic Proof
- Event co-organizers for contacting registered participants
- Handling of test inquiries in partner organizations for evaluating test- and collaboration projects

The legal basis for processing personal data is your consent. You provide consent by registering for newsletters, events, or by sending a test inquiry. You may withdraw your consent at any time via our website or by email to the network coordinators.
Data Storage and Deletion
Personal data related to events is stored in a cloud-based Salesforce CRM system under a data processing agreement that ensures secure handling. Personal data received via the test inquiry form is stored in our email inbox. Our email service is operated by Nordlo AS, and the underlying email platform is provided by Microsoft 365. If you withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted from our systems within one month.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we have stored about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Restrict the processing or withdraw your consent
- Request data portability
Requests can be submitted through the contact form on our website. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe your rights have not been respected.
