Bridging Nordic health tech: new report published about Nordic Proof

    Bridging Nordic Health Tech

A new report about Nordic Proof published by Nordic Innovation presents the results of Nordic Proof's 2023–2026 project period, and the long-term support that made it possible.

From 2018 to 2026, Nordic Innovation funded Nordic Proof across several project periods. That continuity gave the partners something short-term funding rarely does: time to build trust across borders, align ways of working and develop a single Nordic entry point for the health tech industry.

    Results and reach

Between 2022 and early 2026, Nordic Proof partners registered more than 1,000 industry contacts and signed over 340 contracts with companies. A growing share of inquiries now comes from outside the Nordic region, a sign that the network has become a recognised route into Nordic healthcare.

    Opening doors in both directions

Through partnerships with Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber in the UK, German regions and innovation hubs, and TechMed Twente in the Netherlands, Nordic Proof has helped international companies find their way into the Nordics, and Nordic companies take their solutions abroad. Visits to Leeds and a presence at Medica strengthened these connections further.

    A stronger network going forward

In 2026, Lappland Testbed, PICTA and TechMed Twente joined the network, expanding both geographical reach and testing capacity.

Partners are now also working within focused thematic areas, including AI in healthcare, diagnostic imaging, hospital-at-home and pre-hospital care, to better match company needs with the right expertise.

    Long-term support from Nordic Innovation

Fragmented markets and complex pathways from development to market uptake are a recurring challenge for Nordic health tech. Nordic Proof was built to tackle those challenges, and Nordic Innovation's long-term commitment and support has been essential to making it work.
